Meet Fleur Dean — Certified Practising Nutritionist, Founder & Fellow Endo Warrior

Fleur Dean is the founder of Vital Energy Nutritional Medicine, established in 2020 and based across Mount Eliza and Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine and is a Certified Practising Nutritionist, and a member of ANTA and AARPN. But beyond the qualifications, it's Fleur's personal health journey — navigating hypothyroidism and endometriosis — that shapes the way she works with clients. She knows what it feels like to search for answers, to feel dismissed, and to finally find a path that makes sense.

Fleur brings together functional testing tools including SMART DNA, blood pathology analysis and gut testing to help clients understand their health from the inside out. She works within supplement budgets where possible, communicates with warmth and clarity, and draws on both six years of clinical nutrition experience and 30 years in education to make complex health information genuinely accessible. She is also a QENDO partner, having presented on liver health and endometriosis through their platform. Whether you visit her in Mount Eliza, at Pinnacle Physio in Dromana, or connect online from anywhere in Australia or internationally, you can expect a consultation that is personalised, practical and supportive.

Common Questions About Nutrition Consultations

What happens in an initial nutrition consultation?

Your initial consultation with Fleur runs for 90 minutes. She'll go through your health history, current concerns, diet, lifestyle and goals in detail. Where relevant, she'll review existing pathology and discuss whether additional functional testing — such as blood analysis, SMART DNA or gut testing — might provide useful insight. You'll leave with a personalised treatment plan and a clear next step. Fleur prepares for each consultation using the health questionnaire you complete beforehand, so the time is focused on you.

How much does a nutrition consultation cost?

An initial 90-minute consultation is $180 and a 60-minute return consultation is $130, whether you see Fleur in Mount Eliza, Dromana or online via telehealth. A free 15-minute discovery call is also available, and Smart DNA testing and functional pathology packages are listed on the Appointments & Pricing page.

Is there a way to find out if a certified practising nutritionist is right for me before I commit?

Yes. Fleur offers a free 15-minute discovery call so you can ask questions, share your concerns and get a feel for whether nutritional medicine is a good fit for where you're at. There's no pressure and no obligation. You can book the discovery call directly through Healthbank.

Do you offer online nutrition consultations?

Yes. Telehealth consultations are available for clients anywhere in Australia and internationally, excluding the USA. The online consultation process mirrors the in-person experience — same preparation, same depth, same personalised treatment plan. Many clients on the Mornington Peninsula also choose telehealth for convenience between in-person visits.

What health concerns can Fleur support?

Fleur works across a broad range of health areas including endometriosis, PMOS (PCOS), adenomyosis, perimenopause, menopause, gut health, weight management, low energy, sleep disturbances, mood changes, stress, autoimmune conditions, heart health, sports nutrition, children's nutrition and aged care. If you're unsure whether your concern fits, the free discovery call is a great place to start. Please note that nutritional medicine is a complementary health service and Fleur uses support, management and evidence-informed language — not cure claims or guaranteed outcomes.

Where are your clinics located on the Mornington Peninsula?

Vital Energy Nutritional Medicine has two clinic locations on the Mornington Peninsula: Mount Eliza and Dromana (at Pinnacle Physio). Both locations are bookable through Healthbank. Telehealth is also available for clients who prefer to consult from home or who are located elsewhere in Australia or internationally.

How it works

What to Expect From Your Nutrition Consultation

1

Step 1 — Book & Complete Your Health Questionnaire

Once you book through Healthbank, you'll receive a detailed health questionnaire before your appointment. This helps Fleur understand your health history, current concerns, diet, lifestyle and goals ahead of time — so your consultation time is spent on you, not admin. It also gives Fleur the context to ask the right questions and start forming a personalised picture of your health.

2

Step 2 — Your Initial 90-Minute Consultation

Your first appointment is 90 minutes — face to face in Mount Eliza or Dromana, or via telehealth. Fleur will walk through your health history in depth, discuss your concerns and goals, review any existing pathology results you have, and explore where functional testing like blood analysis or gut testing might be useful. You'll leave with a clear sense of direction and a personalised treatment plan.

3

Step 3 — Your Personalised Plan & Ongoing Support

Your treatment plan is built around your results, your budget and your everyday life — not a generic template. Follow-up consultations allow Fleur to review progress, adjust recommendations and keep you moving forward. Whether you're working towards better energy, hormonal balance, gut health or a combination of concerns, the plan evolves with you.

“My goals were weight loss. Fleur listened and helped me with a tailored program that was achievable, rather than taking a "cookie cutter" approach that isn't sustainable. She's warm and friendly, and really easy to work with.”

“A few months ago I received a full analysis of my bloods with Fleur. It was extremely eye opening to know what was going on, as my GP didn't flag any concerns and said my levels were fine. Since going on the supplements recommended by…”
